Rachel Manning

Rachel ManningMezzo-soprano Rachel Manning is a recent graduate of the BMus Performance degree programme at the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama, where she is currently continuing her studies part-time with teacher Jennifer Hamilton. Rachel has sung as a chorus member in Rusalka (Lyric Opera/Gaiety Theatre, 2013), Nixon in China (Wide Open Opera/Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, 2014) and Turandot (NI Opera/Grand Opera House Belfast, 2015), and has sung as a soloist in excerpts from Maria Stuarda and Anna Bolena both directed by Jennifer Hamilton, and L’incoronazione di Poppea at the Hugh Lane Gallery in Dublin. Other credits include the alto solo role in Handel’s Messiah in Monkstown under the direction of Robin Moore. Rachel has sung in masterclasses for Cara O’Sullivan and Patricia Bardon, and was awarded first prize in the oratorio competition at the 2013 Arklow Music Festival.
